Testimony from Cindy Gonzales, mother of one male student

"Our son had tried playing many different sports, but because he is small for his age he had a hard time fitting in. We had never heard of Aikido before our cousins started taking lessons. Once we heard how much the cousins enjoyed Aikido and that size isn't an issue, we decided to enroll our son in the youth class.
Since joining the group he feels a sense of belonging and acceptance that he did not feel playing team sports. He is able to progress at his own rate and has a goal to work towards. He enjoys the challenge to obtain a new belt.
Aikido is a great way to stay physically fit. The kids don't just mess around, they WORK. We are thankful that our son has the opportunity to be a part of this group.
To quote my son 'it is nice to get in shape, interact with other kids, and learn life saving techniques at the same time.'"
