I found the website with ease and the information about the dojo was very through. Of all the martial arts in Greenville, SC this is the only place to attend as it is a no-nonsense approach to learning about life. My son who was 4 years old was interviewed by Sensei Beckham and asked if he would make the commitment to the schedule of training. My son has enjoyed 4 months of training 2 times per week. His body is developing muscles, his listening capability is amazing, his mental focus is very clear for a now 5 year old, and he anticipates the consequences of events in his path. I feel that he is a more thoughtful child with respect towards his friends and the adults in his life. I am continually amazed at the strength of his mind and body that he is gaining from The Aikido School of Self Defense. He looks forward to attending his classes and loves to practice at home in the mirror. Sensei Beckham is very positive with the children and makes sure that they understand how important it is to be safe, make good grades, complete homework, keep a clean room, practice hygiene and understand common sense applications for life.
